Reed Glenn is a long-time journalist and free-lance writer, editor and photographer. She was formerly on the staff of the Daily Camera newspaper in Boulder, Colorado, as a features writer and columnist. Her environmental column was distributed nationally to more than 260 newspapers on the Knight-Ridder/Tribune newswire. Reed’s free-lance travel stories and photos have appeared in National Geographic Traveler, Outside, AFAR, the Los Angeles Times, Boston Globe, Denver Post, Dallas Morning News, Newsday and other major publications. Reed specialized in Mexico for many years and was a recipient of the Lente de Plata, the Mexican Government Tourism Office’s highest award for travel photography. “Traveler’s Tales Mexico,” includes one of her essays. She contributed to Frommer’s Mexico Guides and co-authored “The Insider’s Guide to Boulder & Rocky Mountain National Park,” and “The Insider’s Guide to Colorado’s Mountains.” Reed currently writes and edits for Alpine Modern magazine and lives in Boulder, Colorado.
